Meet Chef Johannes Bacher
Johannes Bacher, “The Eclectic Chef” was born and raised in a small mountain village in Tirol, Austria. He is the Executive Chef/Owner of Johannes Restaurant in Palm Springs, CA.
Inspired at age 7 by his mother to start cooking simple things like cookies and cakes; Chef Johannes developed a passion for food that spanned decades of world wide travel and classical training. Among his accolades is being the Corporate Chef of Seabourn Cruise Line for 5 years, a position that afforded him an unusual look at flavors and pairings. He has been a guest chef at some of the top hotels in the world!
Over the years with the increase in factory farming practices, Chef Johannes has noticed a decrease in the general flavor and quality of commercial food. For that reason he embraces local, and sustainable options including organic and beyond organic products whenever possible. He is concerned about the quality of the food that he serves, and will not choose less expensive ingredients, or pre-processed products to decrease his food costs.
Chef Johannes researches the food choices for his restaurant and matches sustainability and quality with his menu items. Everything at Johannes Restaurant is prepared fresh daily! There is a lot of confusion out there about what is good for us and what is not. Thousands of hours of research and Johannes global experience contribute daily to the healthy menu choices offered at the restaurant.
